My Day at Wrigley

I had the chance to see the first-place Pittsburgh Pirates play the Chicago Cubs this week.

Above is the line on the game, which the Pirates won to put them 21(!) games over .500.  Francisco Liriano pitched a complete game for the Buccos, and we saw three triples from Pirate batters.  It was a beautiful day in Chicago.

(Recap here.)

Some trash-talking at the Murphy's Bleacher Bar next to the stadium.

In this detail of the previous photo, you can make out the black Pirate flag flying
in the first-place position on the NL Central pole.

With my brother, Jason.  The Bucs are getting it done in 2013!  Woo-hoo!

  1. Shame you weren't in Chicago longer. It would have been nice to meet up. Good thing you got to Wrigley before any of the changes: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/ct-met-wrigley-field-signs-0709-20130709,0,4303451.story
